Eurostar’s Gare du Nord Business Premier Lounge – A Stylish Step Up
A refreshed space upstairs at Gare du Nord, the Eurostar Business Premier Lounge combines calm interiors, Parisian touches, and light refreshments – the perfect pause before boarding the train to London.
After two weeks travelling across France by train, our return to London began on a high note with a visit to the Eurostar Gare du Nord Business Premier Lounge. This new upstairs space feels lighter, calmer, and far more refined than before.
Previously, the lounge was tucked at the back of the concourse and felt a little hemmed in. Now, stepping through the doors you’re greeted by high ceilings, soft lighting, and a space that feels more like a stylish Parisian apartment than a waiting area. It’s modern but understated – plain walls punctuated by pops of colour, such as the contemporary artwork above the original fireplace. It may not be to everyone’s taste, but it adds a touch of character to an otherwise serene palette.
Space & Atmosphere
The biggest change is space. The upstairs setting allows for open-plan seating areas alongside smaller nooks where you can hide away with a laptop or spend a quiet moment with family. From corner banquettes to velvet sofas, there’s a spot to suit every mood. Large windows look out over the platforms and across the rooftops of Paris, while alcoves with soft lighting give the lounge a private, almost residential feel.
Food & Drink in the Premier Lounge
The Eurostar Business Premier Lounge keeps the catering simple but satisfying. There are chilled drinks – Orangina, Coca-Cola, 1664 beer, Fevertree mixers – plus Brita taps for still and sparkling water. Hot drinks come from a quality coffee machine, and there’s wine if you’d like a pre-boarding glass.
Snacks are focused on grazing: bowls of savoury bites, small baked goods, a few jars of sweets, and some fresh fruit. It’s not designed to replace a meal, but it’s enough to keep you going until the onboard service.
Wi-Fi & Facilities
Free Wi-Fi is included, though in my experience it was slower than simply using 5G. Charging points are readily available, and the bathrooms have been refreshed to match the lounge’s modern aesthetic.
A Comfortable Pause Before Departure
This refreshed Gare du Nord Business Premier Lounge is more than just a waiting room. It’s a calm, contemporary space where you can take a breath before heading through to your train. Whether you’re catching up on emails or simply watching the departures through the iron-framed windows, it’s a reminder that the Eurostar journey begins before you even board.
For us, it was the final chapter in two weeks of French rail travel – a fittingly elegant way to wrap up our summer holiday.
Paris, Encore
This visit to the Eurostar Lounge was just another highlight from our latest trip to Paris. Alongside this, we’ll be sharing more stories from the city – including our review of Hotel de la Madeleine Plaza in Paris, stumbling across the Bastille Day celebrations, the Olympic Flame and yet another visit to the Louvre Couture fashion exhibition. Paris continues to surprise, inspire, and invite us back – and this lounge, in its new upstairs home, is a part of that experience.
